Drager (also known as Draeger in international markets) have come up with a record-breaking design in the smallest and lightest waist mounted blower unit to date: the X-plore 8300. Fully compatible with the Drager X-plore range of accessories from hoses and belts to closer or open headtops, the X-plore 8300 benefits from all the intuitive design of the rest of the range. As you would expect from Drager, simple one button operation with clear status indicators for airflow, battery and filter saturation comes as standard, along with a fast-charging batter which can provide up to 11 hours of operation (configuration dependent). The unit uses RFID technology to automatically detect the type of headtop attached to it, and will adjust minimum required fan assisted airflow accordingly.
The unit housing incorporates an integrated pure particle filter, a device which is easily replaced with a simple bayonet connection. The housing has also been designed with a smooth surface, ideal for strict hygiene requirements. In fact, the IP67 classification means that the whole unit can be cleaned in an industrial washer or decontamination shower and is ideal for those working in humid or wet environments.
