Part of the Drager X-plore 8000 series, the Drager X-plore 8700 is an intrinsically safe blower unit which filters hazardous substances from the air and in combination with other components from the Xplore 8000 range provides a comprehensive, tailor-made PAPR respiratory solution.

The Drager UK (also known as Draeger in some markets) 8000 range is built to be rugged, and tough enough to withstand anything you need it to do.

Product Description

Respiratory safety at its best: Filter changing is via a simple ‘plug and go’ system for easy changeover. The X-plore 8700 will intuitively recognise the type of filters in use and the facemask, helmet or hood employed, and will automatically set the correct flow rate. A triple alarm system for any issues (sound/vibration/visual) ensures that safety warnings are never ignored. The equipment is ATEX rated to prevent and reduce the energy of sparks in explosive atmospheres.

Simple Maintenance: The modular construction is simple to decontaminate and easy to take apart and reconstruct, with clear blue touchpoints to guide you.  Despite maintenance being so simple, the X-plore 8700 is incredibly tough and leakproof: it will withstand extremely heavy-duty use, with rubber protectors and IP65 ingress protection, blocking dust and water jets from any direction.

Full shift respiratory protection: This PAPR set up is designed with comfort in mind for longer periods of use. The product weight is distributed evenly via a bespoke carrying system. The unit can also be paired with either a standard or high-capacity Li battery, offering extended use times of up to 8 hours.
