This Drager shoulder carrying system is designed to be used with the Drager belt and the Drager X-plore 8000 powered Blower Unit (H40-59500) to distribute weight evenly and allow the wearer to work easily with no physical constraint.
Drager (also known as Draeger in some international markets) has long been regarded as the industry expert in respiratory protection, particularly PAPR. Waist mounted PAPR allows the wearer to move more easily when using respiratory protection, supporting the weight of their blower unit effectively. As an alternative to integrated headtop options, the waist mounted respiratory protection option using the Drager shoulder carrying system reduces the potential burden on the head and neck to the absolute minimum, allowing an optimum weight distribution. Wearing a PAPR blower as a separate unit on a belt also reduces the effect of noise and vibration on the head and neck. It also allows the equipment to be hygienically shared between workers, makes it easier to maintain and means that connected PAPR head tops or masks can be replaced with less financial impact.
The Drager shoulder carrying system is designed to work in tandem with any of the available Drager 8000 belts to help keep the unit safe and secure. (Standard Belt H40 59700 and Decontamination Belt H40 59710)
